Ford In Cab 18½ Gallon Gas Tank for 1971-72 Ford Truck
Our Dennis Carpenter in-cab gas tanks are manufactured with quality steel to offer a good or better than the original reproduction. Due to the chemicals in gasoline and after years of being in service, gas tanks have a tenancy to rust on the inside which can cause a few different mechanical issues. One of the main issues caused is the fuel sender not sending the correct, if any, signal to the dash gauge. This leaves the driver not knowing the correct amount of fuel in the tank. The other issue is particles of rust can travel up to the carburetor, causing the carburetor to not function properly or leak.
This direct replacement, with emission gas tank is installed in the cab, behind the seat. This tank comes with the strengthening recesses, is coated with a gray corrosion resistant paint, and comes with the extended bolt flanges for mounting.
Note: Our in cab as tank requires a vented gas cap and measures: 63” Long x 6½” Thick x 18â…œ” Tall.
